The current focus of this Blog is to provide updates to family and friends of the adventures of son Peter as he is working on a crab boat as an Observer for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
At the age of 50 I went thru a bit of a mid-life crisis when I sold the cows, bought a 1987 Mercedes, took up golf, and went back to college. However, I did keep the same wife and have for 26 years. Trudy is a night shift Med-Surg floor RN,BSN at the same hospital I work Day shift at and sometimes we are even awake at the same time! Trudy and I have two sons whom we are very proud of. Peter is 23,and graduated from UVM in 2004 with a BS in Biology. He is currently working on crab boats in the Bering Sea, and because of the type of work he is doing and where he is, a source of concern. Thomas is 21 and a Junior Natural Sciences major at Lyndon State College. I graduated with a A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy 05/06 and am employed as a staff RRT at North Country Hospital in Newport Vermont. I have started this blog as a way to distribute information about the activities and where abouts of my family and myself to family, friends and loved ones. If you do not currently fit into one of the above catagories currently thats okay, you are welcome anyway!!
This is from the web site of the company that Peter works for. It contains a lot of information about what his job entails: Saltwater Inc. Crab Observer Positions
